One of the most ambitious projects in BMX. Our brief was to produce a BMX comp in a unique location within the London area which was better that the Tunnel Jam event we had produced the year before.
Scouring possible locations we came across a soon to be demolished swimming pool on the edges of East London, the borough of which was looking for a way to celebrate the 30 year life of the venue.
With Achim Kujawski pulling together a superb build team and Will Smyth organizing the competitors, we project managed and art directed the whole event.
Incorporating a month of local community activities that saw local schools swapping their PE lessons for BMX tuition, core scenes from up and down the country gaining exclusive use and free open sessions every evening and the whole of the school holidays, the project was acclaimed by numerous social commentators around the world.
